Dr Stella Lartey
Lecturer in Health Economics
The Health Economics Group welcomed Stella Lartey to the group as Lecturer in Health Economics on the 1st December 2021. Stella moved from a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health-Indiana University-Bloomington. She has more than ten years of working experience in healthcare services and health research. She has both international and local perspectives and experience in creating sustainable access to healthcare for all ages and different populations.
Stella’s current primary research focus is on the economics of healthy ageing and obesity. Her research aims to build effectiveness and efficiency improvements into interventions targeted at the ageing population. Stella has studied wide and far having completed her Ph.D. (Medical Studies) at the University of Tasmania, Australia, an MA in Economics at the University of Calgary, an MA in International Development at the International University of Japan, and a Master of Public Health at the University of Ghana.
