Evaluation of the Community Champions programme

Creating a network of ‘Community Champions’

Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have received funding from NHS England to lay the foundations for better health systems that work to reduce inequalities in access to health care.
The funding will be used to create a network of ‘Community Champions’ – individuals that have been trained to undertake conversations within communities about people’s health with the aim of supporting an increase in access to health care services.

The CCG is supporting the development and delivery of the Community Champions programme across the county of Norfolk with the aim of creating resilient communities who are supported to engage with health care services.

Norwich Institute of Healthy Ageing (NIHA) are pleased to be working with the CCG to evaluate this work.
